Virat Kohli motions to the Wankhede crowd to cease jeering Hardik Pandya during MI vs. RCB.

In summary, Hardik Pandya’s jeers persisted at Wankhede Stadium.
Following the booing of Hardik, Virat Kohli was not pleased with the Wankhede fans.

MI trounced RCB by 7 wickets in a one-sided game, and Hardik was excellent.
When the Wankhede Stadium crowd loudly applauded Hardik Pandya on Thursday, Virat Kohli was not at all impressed. Kohli motioned to the audience to stop their disapproval of the just anointed MI captain and asked them to support their leader. Even though the five-time champions outclassed RCB in a one-sided IPL 2024 encounter at the legendary venue, Kohli’s touching gesture went viral.

When MI captain Hardik Pandya joined Suryakumar Yadav in the middle of the 12th over of their 197-run chase, Virat Kohli looked upset and heard jeers. Kohli seemed to indicate that Hardik is a national player and that the Wankhede audience wasn’t deserving of such treatment. Loud jeers have been directed on Hardik by supporters who are still not adjusting to the new MI captain. On Thursday, Hardik faced challenges in terms of fan response, whereas Rohit Sharma received applause for each and every stroke he made.

Unlike their first home game earlier in the month, Hardik Pandya did not face as much jeering during the toss. At the toss of their April 1 matchup against the Royals, Hardik was loudly jeered, prompting commentator Sanjay Manjrekar to intervene and ask the supporters to “behave”.

After the IPL 2024 season’s second match on Thursday, Hardik Pandya faced his first jeers as he entered the bowl. But when he stepped out to bat, there were the greatest jeers, which upset Virat Kohli.

At the Wankhede Stadium, Virat Kohli continued to engage with the crowd despite having little opportunity to play while the Mumbai batters were hitting them into the stands.

After four straight losses, MI won their second straight game of the season by chasing down 197 in just 15.3 overs, making a joke of the goal.

On a dewy evening, while MI bowlers were throwing everything into the stands, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis gestured to spare Virat Kohli the horror when the crowd at Wankhede pushed him to hand the ball to Kohli with the legendary “Kohli ko bowling do” song.
MI put on a fantastic display of power hitting as Rohit Sharma blasted 38 off 24 balls and Ishan Kishan hammered 69 off 34. In his second IPL 2024 match, Suryakumar Yadav struck 52 in just 19 balls.

Hardik Pandya, the captain, ensured that MI reached the mark quickly by smashing 21 off only 6 balls, including 3 sixes.
