The BCCI has announced the successful bidder for the Media Rights to BCCI International and Domestic Matches from September 2023 to March 2028.

The BCCI had issued an Invitation to Tender (“ITT“) for BCCI International and Domestic Matches from September 2023 to March 2028. As part of the process, on August 31, 2023, an e-auction was held in which all eligible bidders were allowed to participate in order to determine the successful bidder for the Media Rights.

Viacom 18 Media Private Limited has acquired the Media Rights from September 2023 to March 2028 for a total of INR 5,963 crores, subject to the execution of definitive documentation and completion of formalities as required by BCCI, as well as the completion of other obligations specified in the ITT.

Ernst & Young served as the BCCI Media Rights’ strategic advisor. Argus Partners served as the legal counsel for the tender documents. Mjunction Services Limited provided the platform for the e-auction to run smoothly.
