Sai Sudharsan is acquired by Surrey for the final three County Championship contests.

Sai Sudharshan is still fairly early into his first class career and has scored 598 runs at 42.71 from eight games

Sai Sudharsan, a batsman from India A, has been signed by Surrey for the season’s final three County Championship games. The left-handed batter, age 21, has delivered noteworthy performances, including a century against Pakistan A in the ACC Men’s Emerging Cup and a scorching 96 in the IPL 2023 championship match.

His first-class career has only lasted eight games, and he has already amassed 598 runs at a 42.71 average.

The director of cricket at Surrey, Alec Stewart, stated: “Sai has come highly recommended to me by individuals I enormously respect, including a few of the greats of the Indian game, who have seen and worked closely with him. Sai will increase the available batting choices for the season’s final three games, and we can’t wait to have him join the team.

I’m happy to add Sai Sudharsan to our roster of players given the hectic pace of domestic and international cricket around the world.

Starting on September 3, Sai Sudharsan will be eligible for Surrey’s next match against Warwickshire. After Kemar Roach, he is the club’s second foreign acquisition this time around. Tom Latham and Sean Abbott, two other foreign athletes, are presently competing for Australia and New Zealand in international competitions.
