Pakistan has made changes to their Asia Cup squad.

Pakistan have made an addition to their Asia Cup 2023 squad.

Saud Shakeel, a middle-order batter, has been added to Pakistan’s Asia Cup squad, with Tayyab Tahir named as a traveling reserve.

Shakeel was the 18th member of the ODI squad for the Afghanistan bilateral series after not being part of the initial 17-man squad. Tahir, who was initially named to the squad, did not appear in any of the three one-day internationals against Afghanistan. He will travel with the team as a reserve player during the Asia Cup.

Shakeel returned to the ODI squad for the Afghanistan series, but he only played one game and scored nine runs.

Pakistan will face Nepal in their first Asia Cup game on August 30 in Multan. The team will arrive in Multan on August 27 and will be joined by Babar Azam, Imam ul Haq, and Naseem Shah on Monday evening.
