Bright new logo unveiled for the ICC T20 World Cups

The ICC T20 World Cup, the height of international cricket, has just received a colorful makeover with the unveiling of its new brand identity on Thursday, December 7.

The makeover perfectly encapsulates the drama that exists in every ball that is bowled in Twenty20 cricket, which is known for its intense action and quick-witted moments. The format’s unwavering energy is captured in the new visual identity.

Each World Cup edition’s host nation inspires the textures and patterns used in the brand identity. One such pattern pays homage to the “stripes” of the United States, which will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024, as well as the palm trees of the West Indies.

The logo, a clever combination of bat, ball, and energy, represents the essential components of Twenty20 cricket. Encased in a dynamic ball, the T20 lettering dynamically changes into a swinging bat.

The striking graphic on the ball reflects the distinct vibe and electric energy of Twenty20 Internationals, and the zigzag design suggests intensifying thrills and exhilarating moments.

Claire Furlong, the ICC General Manager of Marketing and Communications, stated, “We hope the new visual identity reflects that vision and energy.” The ICC Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups are expected to provide cricket fans worldwide with an exciting and suspenseful experience.

“Hosts will have a distinctive element throughout the event’s look and feel thanks to the brand’s incorporation of the distinctive patterns.

“Fans can now register their interest to receive World Cup information and ticket news. We have an exciting six months ahead of us building up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA.”

From June 4 to June 30, 2024, the West Indies and the United States will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
