After a golf mishap, Australia’s all-rounder will miss the CWC23 match against England.

Australia’s batting all-rounder will miss his team’s next ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup match after suffering a concussion after falling off the back of a golf cart.

Glenn Maxwell of Australia will miss his team’s match against England on November 4 due to an injury sustained after falling off the back of a golf cart.

Maxwell was riding on the back of a golf cart in Gujarat late Monday evening when he fell off. He sustained a concussion as well as significant bruising.

According to Cricket Australia’s concussion regulations, the allrounder will miss his team’s match against England in Ahmedabad.

At the same time, Australia has not replaced him in the squad and is hoping for his return later in the tournament.

This is the second freak accident for the star all-rounder in less than a year. He previously broke his leg at a private party in November, which he only recently recovered from.

Australia will be devastated by Maxwell’s absence, as the all-rounder had recently shown excellent form in the tournament. In the tournament, he has 196 runs scored at a strike rate of 148.48. This included a 106 from 44 balls against the Netherlands in Delhi, the fastest Men’s Cricket World Cup century ever. He also claimed four wickets with his off-spin.
