Pakistan names its starting XI for the India match.

Pakistan has named their starting lineup for Saturday’s match against India in Pallekele.

Pakistan will field the same team that faced Nepal in the high-profile match against India. Pakistan travels to Pallekele on Saturday to face India after a massive win to kick off their Asia Cup campaign.

Babar Azam’s team is unchanged, with a three-pronged pace attack backed up by three spin-bowling all-rounders.

Iftikhar Ahmed’s spot was arguably up for grabs in recent times, but a stunning century against Nepal all but confirmed his place in the XI.

The No.1 ranked team in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings raced to a 238-run win against Nepal, but will face a stiff challenge against a near full-strength Indian team.

India must make a few difficult decisions ahead of the big match, most notably where Ishan Kishan bats. With KL Rahul ruled out of the first two matches, the wicketkeeper batter is set to play in the XI.

They would also have to choose between Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur for the No.8 spot to lengthen the batting or go with a bowling heavy lineup that included Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Mohammed Shami alongside Kuldeep Yadav.

Fakhar Zaman, Imam Ul Haq, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Agha Salman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf comprise the Pakistan XI.
